Although the Modified group has disbanded, it had a long run and provided some of the best slot car racing and BS sessions that I been my privilege to experience. I’ve resurrected these pages covering only a short part of that history in memory of good times and good people. I would like to thank all the people that I’ve meet and raced with over the years. Even during the dust ups, when every thing settled, it was back to fun. SALUTE!

The expressed purpose of T.S.M.R.A. and PITROAD RACEWAY is to provide a fair and competitive format for the enthusiast who wishes to participate in a relatively inexpensive and unique style of slot car racing. It is ideally stressed that the competition be among drivers rather than among cars and that the deciding element in any race program should be the superiority of the driver and not that of the car.
The following pages are an over view of a group of individuals who find slot car racing to be an interesting hobby. Some have been racing as a group for about 18 years now. The present association is the lasting legacy of a group of enthusiasts that started racing together in 1978. Although all the original members have stopped racing a while ago, there are some core members who have been racing with this group, in all it’s incarnations, since 1982. There continues to be a core of about 8 to 10 racers. And although things can get to be unpleasant at times, it offers a interesting alternative to racing at a commercial track. All involved have a love for Dirt Track racing, and some even race 1:1 cars. It seems to be this passion that pulls everyone together. If were not racing, were talking racing, and THAT’S fun for all!
